Millencolin is one of my 3 favorite bands along with The Offspring and Muse. It is a Swedish band, however, they sing in English. It is a melodic rock today, composed earlier songs more hardcore.

I met the band thanks to a PS1 game, Tony hacks, in 2003. In the game they occupied two or three songs by Millencolin. There the taste for their songs began, and like The Offspring, they had things in common, like the drums and the particular voices of the vocals.

In 2008, precisely in the month of November, when I attended my first concert, with only 16 years. Millencolín appeared in the Theater Caupolican, and at that moment I went to see them alone.             On one hand it was good as it was an excellent experience, however, the lack of a companion made me feel lonely.

Now, more mature, I think I had a good time anyway and again this band will come to Chile and will be presented on Tuesday, October 3, where or if I will be, since I lost them in their presentation in 2014. From done, I already have the ticket bought and that day I will be outside the Teatro Cariola at nine pm.

What country would i like to visit?

Since childreen i liked very much the Nordic countries because they have a rich culture and a great vision of the life like the habit, also the utilization of renewable energy, and other points. For the other hand i like the geography of these places, different in relation with the places in Chile. 

Particulary i want talk be about of the Sweden because this country have a cities that i like it. My favourites cities are Malmö, Estocolmo and Gotemburgo. Also i like the society of the country because is very open mind, not like in Chile and other countries of South America. 

In Sweden lives a friend of my brother very important for my family. Mario, the friend, tell me about the Sweden. This has that i interested in this country, even i'd like to live here in the future.  For me, is a place where i'd have a house or visit to follow when i finish this career and maybe work as geographer in Sweden.

Many aspect of Sweden make me like; My favourite  sport is swedish, the famous Zlatan Ibrahimovic, that actually play football in the premier league in England in the Manchester United. Also my band favourite is swedish, called Millencolin, that is a band of soft rock that they came to Chile in November.

                                     My experience in the Blog Class

In general my experience with blogs was good, they helped me a lot because it allowed me to write in a more fluid way different topics of everyday life in English, this being something new for me, since I rarely did this.

I think that using a blog in English helps a lot when the language has not been practiced, since one begins to remember words and to conjugate sentences

It is also my first blog, which makes me happy :)

Within the good things as I said before, develop a little more the ability to write more easily and also to understand more when reading the blogs of my clasmates, as well as understand more easily

In the future I would like to include in the blogs scientific topics or issues related to the national contingency, that is, topics that go beyond the everyday, as well as being able to generate activities among colleagues from blogs.

On the other hand, I would like to say that I liked the classes of the first block, since we talked about political issues, realities from other countries and also history, which was shown through movies. This seemed interesting and I did not think the course would be like this.

"Pride" 2014, Matthew Warchus

I liked this movie because it shows how two sectors of society, mining and homosexual movements (which have always been distant due to homophobia from the mining sector) are able to help each other in terms of their civil rights. On the other hand, the film is fast and has funny scenes that allow the viewer to be attentive at all times, also that the plot is intriguing because it is not clear how the older characters will act in front of young people who has a new mentality that They struggle to be accepted.

My favorite characters are Jonathan and Joe. The first because despite not being main, he manages to be very good at the scenes, such as dancing, making everyone present astonished with his skill and also when he tells about being a carrier of HIV, an important and often ill-regarded subject , Even this is appreciated with an old woman who was not very much in agreement with the arrival of LGBT community to the town.
Joe shows how young people are repressed by their parents what keeps them from being really the way they are. This character shows a breakthrough in this, deciding to show himself as he is, without being afraid of being criticized.

My favorite scene is when Jonathan dances when he arrives at the mining town where he manages to steal all eyes

Today I will tell you about my favorite subject at the university so far, which has been Geology with professor rodrigo rauld last year.

This  subject throughout the semester always kept me with interest, since I really like the physical geography and was the first course 100% related to this field of geography. Besides Professor Raul explained the matter in a very entertaining way and also carried much material that showed, such as the internal processes of the earth.

The other good experience of this course was the ”Terrenos”, one Cajón del Maipo and the other to the seventh maule region where I learned a lot and also shared with my classmates.

So far it has been the best course I have had in college and I am grateful to have Rodrigo Raúl as a teacher, as it demonstrates the motivation and interest for the student to learn and not just to do his job. I hope to see him in another subject :)!

Hello everyone!!

This day I will talk about of  the teacher Enrique Aliste, who is a investigator and teacher of the faculty of Arquitecture and Urbanism of the Universidad de Chile.

I admire a Enrique Aliste because he makes the classes of a interesant form, explain easily the concepts that are difficult to understand. The information that teaches is very relevant for the study of human geography either in social or cultural class. 

The last semester he taught the social geography. I learned too much with his class because he gave many texts to complement the study, and for me he is a excelent teacher.

Actually he reseach answers to differents problems in locations in the south of Santiago mainly in 7° region, relationed with the forest fire catastrophe ocurred during this summer.

The theme of the day is the music!

I like the rock in spanish and inglish since when i was child. This music is similar to the music hears for one of my brothers, however i like two bands of  japan music, Larc en Ciel and Asian Kung-fu Generation, that the last time i listen frecuently. This bands are very famous in others country's in other continents. In Chile Larc en ciel does not register concert and Asian Kung-fu Generation visited Chile in 2015, and in this year cancel the new concert. A friend wanted to go and see them and now he will travel to Perú in July.
I' ve know these bands for the anime series that Full Metal Alquimist, Naruto, Hunter X, Rurouni Kenshin and others. I like their melodies and their lyrics of the songs.

For other hand, i like other music groups that  The Offspring, Bad Religion, Guns and roses, Millencolin, Amber Pacific, and also chilean groups that Los bunkers, La ley and others

Hi everyone, classmates and teacher! 


For a “terreno” I did not go to class. I recently watched the movie Jimmy´s Hall, directed by Ken Loach. 
I like the movie, altought that a sometimes the film is complex for the history and context of the period where the people were different. I liked the geography of Ireland, the places appear in the movie and your landscapes. The part that i like about the movie is when Jimmy Is deported, because it generates tension and finally does not make a fair trial for Jimmy. In general, the history is very important because show the irish state, their policies and the thoughts of the church at the time

Hi everyone!, in this ocassion i will talk about a picture 

In the picture I appear with my nephew Alex Demian in his birthday the day 23 of November in 2015. In This oportunity the picture was take for my brother Leonardo, father of de Alex, in your house in the comuna of Lo Prado.

I like this picture because was a great moment in family. There was here my mother and the family of the mother of Alex. I was very funny for the five years he met. 

This day i with Alex played with his  new toys and we ran for the yard. also play with dogs and a little bit of videogames. 

Alex this day was very happy for the gifts, cars and others and for the visit of your grandmother, your uncle ( i ) and for the godparents that he love so much. 

    All ocassion that i go to visit a your home, he is very interested in play with me and ever remember     this day.

Hi classmates!

My favourite piece of technology is the notebook.  This is a fabulous artifact with you would learn many things with the information in internet  and also have fun.

I use my notebook everyday; when study in my house listening music and in others occasion to play the games or watch movies and tv online, also you would read text's and write in word or use other programs.

I like the notebook because is a great tool and is very important to everything in the actuality.

My life would be very different without notebook, my life and everyones because the importance that it has taken in the laboral world and the university. 

The notebook's are the use diary and many jobs occupy it and there lies the importance of this technology

now tell you why i decided to enter to study geography 

I choose study geography because when i was a child my interest all about the earth, more phisycal geography that human ( this last for me was unknow).

I like the maps because i have know  diferent countries. also i like the landscapes of Chile, the diversity of climate that present the national territory.

I always wanted to study geography. This is my second period in Universidad de Chile, the first occasion was in 2013 but i had to get out by financing problems. 

I liked this career because is very interesting, and will be very important in the future for the global climate change that include to all the people.

I'd like to a job with several areas to learn more!

My name is Eduardo Valenzuela. I was born in Santiago, Chile in march of 1993. All my life i lived in Santiago centro.

 I study along all my primary in colegio Piloto Pardo and my secundary in Liceo Manuel Barros Borgoño A-10 and actually i study the career of geography in Universidad de Chile.

For other one, i live with my mother, my uncle and two brothers. My mom is a big mother, my uncle is that a father, and my brothers are very inteligent; Leonardo is more older than Victor. The first had thirty four years old and the second tweeny seven years old. Victor study teatro in Universidad de Chile and leonardo work in Enel in services área.

My hobbies is read books and cientific enciclopedy, play the games, watch tv especially zombies movies.
